Throwback - "Night Of Champions" - Celebrating the Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics

The FNZCCI was honoured to host key figures of the NZ Olympic Committee and Paralympics NZ as panelists at our recent celebration of these two events.

The FNZCCI team was honoured to welcome key figures of the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) and Paralympics New Zealand as panelists at our recent event celebrating the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.

Attendees were treated to an inspirational evening, hearing from boxing Olympian and current Athlete Engagement Lead for the NZOC Alexis Pritchard on her journey to become a high performance athlete and how her experience has informed her new role in accompanying this year’s New Zealand Olympians.

We also had the pleasure of hearing from Lynette Grace, Head of Games Campaign and Sport Delivery for Paralympics New Zealand, as she gave us a fascinating glimpse of what happens behind the scenes in planning for such a huge event, particular challenges and points to consider concerning the specific Paralympic campaign, and what the athletes can expect upon their arrival in Paris.

Merci beaucoup to FNZCCI Gold Member Hesketh Henry who hosted this event in their wonderful event space, as well as Hesketh Henry’s Managing Partner Nick Gillies, who provided the opening address for the evening and spoke to the audience about his own connection with the Olympics and Paralympics, including volunteer work supporting talented Olympic duo Isaac McHardie and Will McKenzie (sailing) and sponsorship of Paralympian Corbin Hart (Paracanoe).

Thank you also to everyone who came along and joined us for this exceptional event. Keep an eye on our social media for updates from our panelists and also FNZCCI Board volunteers on the ground for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics!
