About the Committee
The Climate & Sustainability Committee aims to deepen the understanding of critical climate and sustainability challenges in New Zealand, empowering members to take meaningful action by:
- Showcasing how French companies are leading in sustainable growth, performance, and innovation, creating positive environmental and social impacts.
- Uniting NZ and French companies in advancing sustainable business practices, the circular economy, and collective action on climate.
- Inspiring members with insights from sustainability pioneers and leaders.
- Building a connected network dedicated to sustainability, diversity, and social impact.
- Championing diversity and inclusion as core values across the business landscape.
EVENTS & ACTIVITIES:
The Climate & Sustainability Committee aims to deliver impactful events that equip members to embed sustainability within their businesses and achieve measurable progress:
- Host the annual Climate & Sustainability Forum, a key event for advancing knowledge, strategy, and collaboration.
- Offer participation in a Climate Fresk workshop, facilitating deep learning and climate action.
- Hold quarterly "Climate Drinks" with Team For The Planet, connecting members with NZ’s climate-conscious community.
- Forge partnerships with influential organizations, including Team For The Planet, Climate Leaders Coalition, Sustainable Business Council, and Diversity Works, to strengthen collective impact.
- Highlight member expertise in sustainability, creating opportunities for collaboration with New Zealand organizations.
- Organize site visits and expert panel discussions that provide firsthand insights into sustainable practices and innovations.
- Lead by example by integrating sustainability within FNZCCI’s operations, striving to become a fully sustainable chamber.
