Lloyd ClarkEnvironmental & Sustainability Design Manager, Meridian Energy

Lloyd is a chartered environmental engineer and environmental Fellow with 22 years of experience in environmental engineering & management predominantly for the energy sector. Lloyd started out as a geo-environmental engineer in the UK and after 5 years started to cover projects across Europe and Africa. During a stint in Abu Dhabi (UAE), in 2007 Lloyd was requested to act as Environmental Manager for a new eco city construction project called Masdar. It ended up being 2.5 years of learning about sustainable design and construction. From there he split his career between large scale contaminated land projects and eco mega build projects. He also got a reputation for working in difficult locations, including 18 months in Iraq, 2 years in Sierra Leone and 3 years in Sumatra. Lloyd has spent the last three years working for Meridian Energy as Environmental & Sustainability Design Manager, working on large scale renewable energy construction projects across New Zealand.
